Just a couple weeks ago the flagship, HTC 10, is officially launched, now the sibling is coming out. As the leak, HTC will keep the name “Desire” on it’s mid-range phone, not like the flagship that drop the code “One”.
If we compare HTC Desire with the other rivals, seems there is huge different in sales. One of the main factors is because of the price that higher than it’s rivals. Of course the HTC is playing with high end vendor like Samsung, Sony, or LG. So if the price is high, actually it’s reasonable. The market says different anyway, HTC cannot play big game on medium class.
What I expect now, personally, is that HTC will reduce the price of HTC Desire, at least it is more competitive.
Now let’s we talk about the Desire 830. The leak says that HTC is working on it and probably will come soon. The design however, is quite nice, really nice actually. In the back, the curved design in the edge seems a little bit similar with the flagship HTC 10. The frame also looks colorful as it becomes Desire’s identity. Look at the blue color in HTC Desire 830 frame.
As for the specs, HTC Desire 830 will equipped with 5.46 Inch 1080p display, medium-class SoC with MediaTek MT6753 (Octa-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A53), 3 GB of RAM, and 32 GB of internal storage. From that specs, the performance could be enough in mid-range smartphone arena. The other features are still unknown and probably will come out sooner.
In this class, the strongest rivals are including Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, Samsung Galaxy J7 and Galaxy A5, Oppo F1, Moto X, and some others. Let’s wait for the official launch of HTC Desire 830, will it priced competitive to beat the rivals?
