Cheap phone gets better, good phone gets cheaper, do you agree with that statement? Well I agree, at least for some cases.
Meizu m3 is one of them, no doubt that the Meizu m2 has very good performance and features as well as m2 note. Now, Meizu m3 officially launched and it gets even better specs than the previous gen.
First and the most important is the chipset. Meizu brings Octa-core chipset to the m3 from MediaTek MT6750 (Quad 1.5 GHz and quad 1.0 GHz). Surely the performance will increase significantly from m2 which uses Quad-core processor. Now the Meizu m3 becomes strong rival to the strongest right now, the Xiaomi Redmi 3.
The octa-core is already used in Meizu m2 note though so the Meizu m3 now closer to the bigger sibling.
As for the memory, there will be two option, one with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB storage, another with 3 GB and 32 GB storage, both are microSD card support. The price is start from $92 up to $123 (3 GB RAM)
The battery also gets bigger, from 2500 mAh in m2 to 2870 mAh in the successor.
The screen remains 5.0 Inch HD 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. The dimension is changed a little because of the 2.5 D glass on the front but also quite thinner than m2. The material of the body is polycarbonate.
Meizu m3 still uses the same camera as the m2 which is 13 MP for the primay camera with phase detection autofocus f/2.2 aperture, and 5 MP f/2.0 for the front camera.
If we compare Meizu m2 with the strongest competitor, Redmi 3 has better specs on some sectors. The batteray in Redmi 3 also much bigger that m3. The body of Redmi 3 also uses metal instead of plastic. As for the price, Meizu m3 seems the lower.
There are not many cellphones that are as good as Meizu m3 or Redmi 3, some other alternatives including Lenovo A6010, Samsung Galaxy J2, and Asus Zenfone Laser.
If you looking for good performance android phone with very cheap price (relatively), the Meizu m3 is one of them. The camera also has good result.
